What Each Sign is Excavating This Scorpio Full Moon

It’s calling in Pluto, so things will get deep.

The next Full Moon occurs on Tuesday April 23rd at 7:48pm EST at 4 degrees of Scorpio. A Scorpio full moon happens once (and every once in a while, twice) a year and it sheds light on a part of your chart containing a multitude of depth. This particular full moon will square Pluto, the planet of deep transformation, in Aquarius. Essentially this will meld together three parts of every Rising Sign’s chart to create a different theme. Some of us flick on the flashlight to find we’re in the sewer, while others may find themselves in a secret cave full of treasure if we know the right antiques dealer.

ARIES

Your focus this full moon is other people’s money. Perhaps it’s been a point of contention in some way. Either you’ve been relying on it too much or being way too stubborn to take aid. There is a happy medium. Particularly this theme may sway into your friend group or community, as Pluto is transforming that part of your life for the next couple decades.

TAURUS

Your romantic partnership, or lack there of, comes into the foreground this full moon. You might be thinking about who you are within your relationships and whether or not you enjoy that person. Your relationship status will be holding up a mirror that you can’t look away from this week. That status may feel tied to your public image or career as Pluto has started to find the cracks in that aspect of your life.

GEMINI

Physical and mental health show themselves to you in some clear way as two sides of the same coin this week. Often we forget that they’re dancing to the same tune. Try and get back into (or create some) routines that set you up for success. Even if you have to claw to do it — don’t discount baby steps. With Pluto starting to make its way through your 9th house, this full moon will remind you that a good physical and mental foundation is essential long term growth and achieving your goals.

CANCER

Creativity and where it belongs in your world will come into focus this week. Maybe you’re feeling like bringing a romance into the public eye. Perhaps you yearn to be part of a creative community. Because Pluto has begun its decades’ long mission in your 8th house, the full moon’s epiphany may strike after a loss of some sort, however minor. Life’s darker mysteries may be the muse.

LEO

This full moon may make your private life a little more public than you’re comfortable with. As a Leo, to some you may seem like an open book, but you’re smart enough to know not everything belongs on stage. Some things are meant to be buried in the archives to use as passionate inspiration. Pluto is in your house of romantic relationships, so that could very easily become the topic of more public conversations you weren’t exactly planning on having.

VIRGO

With your ruling planet retrograde lately, communication has probably been extra frustrating for you. This full moon will illuminate that further. Perhaps it’ll highlight where you’ve been neglecting to speak up and how that’s keeping you from attaining a higher version of yourself. As Pluto treks through your house of health and routines, be sure that things unsaid, or harshly said, are not festering into physical failures.

LIBRA

Money and love are one in the same. This week for you, it will ring true. We’ll seldom find a Libra rising that says they don’t like nice things, but even the most rugged of you enjoy being able to put a bow on it. Maybe it will be as simple as the desire to make yourself more visually appealing in order to attract a new romance. Or maybe perhaps the rabbit hole will go much deeper than that. Pluto beacons that your relationship with your passions becomes less superficial.

SCOPRIO

This full moon is always an important one for you each year. It’s akin to a birthday or New Year’s Day, where you might feel celebrated — even if that’s not your thing. This year Pluto has started a decades’ long journey through the part of your chart corresponding with your sense of home. This week you might start to realize how strongly tied to your identity this is. It’s not only about your roots but where you choose to transplant them.

SAGITTARIUS

This full moon will exacerbate the fact that you’ve been in your head lately and it’s likely causing you physical strife. That mysterious tightness in your neck? That toe you’ve suddenly stubbed six times within the last week? It’s more than mercury retrograde. Pluto traveling your 3rd house for the next 20 years is promising to show you how your innermost thoughts are playing a game of telephone in your body and you’re probably failing to get your point across to others.

CAPRICORN

This full moon will show you how tapping into your community will help you reach your material goals. As a Capricorn rising that might seem deliciously blunt. But I don’t mean gross and superficial networking. Despite how hard you try, you can’t do EVERYTHING yourself. Accepting help is probably harder for you than any other sign, but this week you’ll see that in small doses it can be a path to personal gains.

AQUARIUS

With Scorpio at the top of your chart, you have a natural love/hate with the idea of your public image. So each year the full moon’s passing through here, illuminating it, is likely a little weird. This year it picks up Pluto who is working on transforming your sense of self for the next 20 years. This week consider what you’re known for, what you want to be known for, and who you truly have to be to make all that happen.

PISCES

To say a Pisces rising is currently on a spiritual journey is almost too cliche to type out. Your curiosity is always piqued but with the full moon illuminating your 9th house, you’re looking hard for ways to expand. Pluto’s drudging up your deepest thoughts as it’s in your 12th house for a couple decades. Consider the ways in which your inner dialog keeps you from enlightenment and know how’s the time to transform.
